This will be a rare opportunity to experience a state-of-the-art specialized facility for the auralization of acoustic environments. The SoundLab allows either exterior or interior acoustic environments to be experienced by a hyper-surround sound system before the actual space is designed or constructed.
PechKucha
When: October 2025 (date TBD)
Where: SF Bay Area (locaiton TBD)
PechaKucha is a fast-paced, engaging presentation style where each speaker shows 20 slides for just 20 seconds each—automatically advancing as they speak. This keeps presentations concise, lively, and focused, with each talk lasting a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. The format encourages creativity, clarity, and storytelling, making it perfect for sharing ideas, projects, or experiences in a dynamic and memorable way.
We’re inviting members of all experience levels—especially students and early-career professionals—to sign up as presenters. This is a great opportunity to share your work, ideas, or interests with the ASA community in a fun, supportive format. Whether you’re showcasing a research project, a design challenge, or a unique acoustic experience, PechaKucha is a great way to spark conversations and make your voice heard. No need for a polished, formal talk—just bring your enthusiasm and a story worth telling!
For a practical demonstration of the PechaKucha format, you can view example presentations here: PechaKucha which showcase how a concise and visually engaging presentations can be delivered within the 20×20 structure. You can find more information here.

Whether your presentation is research-based, creative, personal, or just something you’re passionate about in acoustics, we encourage you to share it.
